Mental Anchors amidst life’s shit

Not the usual post, but since life insists on handing out the crap, let this be a mental anchor of sort to the precious notion that we are still alive.

  1. Birthdays, thus “new personal record on days alive”. Don’t let them fool you. Its good.
  2. Africa, the cat. Constant joy and love from the ridiculous fury fiend. What life would be without her?img_6555c
  3. Africa the continent. Better leave it out of this list for now…
  4. Parnitha. Hiked by Korakofolia “Arnitika” sector  and seen people climbing there (one group of youngsters in the morning one group of old farts in the afternoon). Such encounters reminding me what “that book” achieved almost 3 years ago. The more time goes by, the more I see it. All these crags, permanently on record. People visiting and climbing previously lost rocks. Bittersweet feelings every time I think about the ACG.
  5. Parnitha. The intoxication air of the higher altitudes. It’s so fresh up there. A lifetime in the mountains and I am still amazed every single time on how much open views and cold air can heal your brain (unfortunately not the same applies on knees).
  6. Extreme knitting. Our Patagonian devised joke that will never grow old.img_6623c
  7. Season of Koumara. Seasonality / familiarity/ Reassuranceimg_6608c

Finally…

..if everything else fails, drop on the soil, lie flat on the ground and turn your eyes on the passing clouds. You might just see Chaos God Tzeentch taking shape in the nebulae but hell, we are still here and the sky is so fucking blue…
